Spoiler When a parent dies, you get a blue screen with instructions on how to start the new generation. Please understand that it's not a problem when you see only 60 cents added to your bank balance. Some careers pay more than others, so those little people will naturally have more money to spend. Your people will get raises and promotions which will make it easier to buy more things. This is a long term game and it can take a couple of generations or more before you can purchase things like the treadmill and pinball machine. But you will have plenty to buy groceries and start on the inexpensive upgrades (gradually). When first starting your family, you won't have a lot of money to splurge. It accumulates constantly as the game is running as long as your people work on their careers steadily. You don't get it all at once when a work cycle completes. The game doles out the salary over a period of time. When you watch them work and hear the *ching* sound when they earn money, they are actually receiving 1/100 of their salary at that moment. Salaries and Earning Money Spoiler Say, for example, your person has a salary of $60 per day. Varied Items in the Store Spoiler Note that varied items restock and refresh every four hours. Sitting down to a meal adds to the "fed" bar on the details screen, especially for children.ĭrop an adult in the laundry room to do laundry.
